Point the camera at a card and the name, mobile number, email, company, designation, website and address fill in by themselves. You can then sort cards into folders, set a follow-up reminder and message the person on WhatsApp in one tap. It is made by TANTRIJA ENTERPRISES, a business registered in India, and is available worldwide.

Yes. Patrascan is available worldwide on Android and iPhone, and it reads English-language business cards (called visiting cards in India) from any country. Phone numbers printed with a country code are saved in international format. Patrascan was first built for Indian cards, so it is especially good with +91 numbers, STD codes and PIN codes. Prices are set by Google Play and the App Store in your local currency.

Patrascan runs on Android phones (Android 7.0 and newer) and on iPhone (iOS 16.4 and newer). It works in light and dark mode and supports larger text sizes.

No. You can tap Skip for now and use Patrascan on your phone without an account. Signing in with Google, Apple or your email (with a 6-digit code, no password) lets you back up cards and keep Pro on a new phone.

Not yet. Each person uses their own account today; team workspaces with shared folders are planned. Until then, team members can export a folder to Excel or vCard and share it.

Patrascan reads the card with Google ML Kit text recognition (OCR) on your phone and then uses rules to put each line in the right field: names, designations, company names (Ltd, LLC, Inc, Pvt Ltd, LLP and more), emails, websites and phone numbers. Numbers written with a country code (such as +1, +44 or +971) are read for any country, and numbers without one are read as numbers from your phone’s region. Indian STD landlines and 6-digit PIN codes are handled especially well. Clear printed cards usually need no edits. Any field it is unsure about is highlighted for you to check, and you can tap a word on the card image to drop it into a field. Glossy, very dark or handwritten cards may need a quick correction.

Yes. Scanning, reading the card, saving, searching, folders and reminders all work offline because everything runs on your phone. If you use cloud backup (Pro), changes made offline are synced automatically when you are back online.

Yes. Batch scan (Pro) lets you scan a stack of up to 30 cards in one go, for example after a trade show. Patrascan reads them one by one, lets you apply one folder, tag and follow-up to all of them, and you review and save them together.

Not yet. Patrascan currently reads cards printed in English (Latin script), including Indian names, numbers and addresses on visiting cards. Reading Hindi (Devanagari) text is planned. You can still save a Hindi card by typing the details in or keeping the card image with the contact.

Patrascan checks the phone number and email against your saved cards. If the person is already saved, it offers to merge the new details into the existing contact or save a separate card.

Yes. With Patrascan Pro you can export all cards, one folder or a date range to Excel (.xlsx), CSV or vCard (.vcf), choose the columns, and share the file to email, WhatsApp, Google Drive or your CRM.

Yes, on every plan. Open the card and tap Save to phone: the name, numbers, email, company and address are added to your phone’s contacts app, so the person shows up in your dialer and WhatsApp.

When you save a card, pick a reminder such as Later today, Tomorrow at 10 AM, In 3 days, Next week or a custom date and time, and add a note like “Share price list”. Reminders can repeat weekly or monthly. When it is due you get a notification with Call, WhatsApp, Snooze and Done buttons, so you can follow up without opening the app. You can also set one reminder for a whole folder, such as everyone you met at an expo.

Yes. Tap WhatsApp on any card to open a chat with that number. Patrascan can pre-fill a greeting such as “Hi Rahul, great meeting you”, which you can switch off in Settings.

Put cards into folders by event, client or city (for example “Mumbai Expo Oct 2026”), add tags such as Lead, Client, Supplier or Hot, and mark favourites. Patrascan also groups cards by when you scanned them: this week, this month and earlier. Free users get 2 folders; Pro is unlimited.

Yes. Patrascan is a free business card scanner to start with: the free plan includes 15 card scans, 2 folders and 3 active follow-up reminders, with Save to phone, Call and WhatsApp on every card. Patrascan Pro adds more scans (50 a month for ₹149, 400 for ₹599 every 6 months, or 1,000 a year for ₹999), unlimited folders and reminders, batch scanning, Excel, CSV and vCard export, cloud backup and app lock. Outside India you pay the local price shown in the App Store or Google Play.

Cancel any time from Google Play (Profile → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions) or on iPhone from Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Your cards are never deleted when Pro ends; only the Pro features and new scans stop.

No. Instead, the free plan gives you 15 card scans with no time limit, so you can try Patrascan on real cards before you pay. When you go Pro you are charged straight away by Google Play or the App Store.

Your saved cards keep working: search, edit, reminders, Call, WhatsApp, export and backup all carry on, and you can still add a contact by typing it in. Only new scans stop. On a paid plan you can buy a top-up pack (100 scans for ₹99 or 500 scans for ₹399) and keep scanning straight away, move to a bigger plan (50 a month, 400 per 6 months or 1,000 a year), or wait until your plan renews and its scans start again.

No. Cards are read on your phone with on-device text recognition; Patrascan does not send card images or card text to any AI service. Nothing leaves your phone unless you turn on cloud backup (Pro), which stores your contacts and card images on Patrascan’s own servers so you can restore them on a new phone.

In the app, go to Settings → Delete account: your account, backed-up cards, card images and reminders are deleted from Patrascan’s servers straight away, and the app is cleared. If you no longer have the app, request deletion on the Delete your account page on this website; we confirm and complete it within 30 days.

Yes. Patrascan Pro includes app lock with fingerprint, face unlock or your phone’s screen lock, so nobody can open your contacts if they pick up your phone.
