Accessibility statement
Last reviewed 30 October 2026
We want everyone to be able to use Patrascan, including people who use a screen reader, keyboard, larger text or reduced motion. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA for this website and the Patrascan app for Android and iPhone.
What we do
- Light and dark themes, both designed for readable contrast; the site follows your device setting and you can switch it.
- Every page works with a keyboard, has visible focus and a logical heading order, and images have text alternatives.
- Animations have a still version when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Pages reflow on small screens and when you zoom up to 200%, without sideways scrolling.
- Form fields have labels, and errors are explained in text next to the field and announced to screen readers.
- In the app, touch targets are at least 44 points, both themes are supported, and motion respects your phone’s reduce-motion setting. We are still testing every app screen with TalkBack and VoiceOver.
Known gaps
This is a self-assessment; an independent audit has not been done yet. Some parts may fall short, for example the scrolling animation on the home page and the camera screen in the app, where reading a card depends on pointing the camera. If something gets in your way, please tell us and we will help you another way while we fix it.
Tell us about a problem
Email support@patrascan.com with “Accessibility” in the subject, or see the Contact page for other ways to reach us. Tell us the page or app screen, what you were trying to do and the device or assistive technology you use. We aim to reply within 5 working days.
